Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Half Back.

A Half Back waxing session typically takes 20–35 minutes from start to finish, including consultation and brief skin prep. First-timers may need extra time for patch tests and aftercare guidance.

Waxing causes brief discomfort as hair is removed from the root, but most clients tolerate it well. We use gentle waxes, soothing techniques, and can recommend pre-care to reduce sensitivity.

Ensure hair is about ¼ inch long, avoid sun exposure and self-tanners, skip retinoids or harsh peels for a few days, and gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment.

Most clients see regrowth in 3–6 weeks depending on hair cycle. With regular waxing, hair becomes finer and sparser. Hormones and genetics also influence regrowth timing.

Mild acne or small blemishes can often be waxed with caution, but open sores, infected bumps, or severe cystic acne should not be waxed. Our technician will assess your skin and advise the safest option.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise and direct sun for 24–48 hours. Use soft fabrics, avoid exfoliation for 48 hours, apply soothing gels, and keep the area clean to prevent irritation or infection.
